Whit’s End
Pivot
Jesus really does save, but we have to pivot—reversing our course by pivoting and connecting to God through Christ properly. Only then will we hear the Beeeeeeeeeeeeep! when life pushes our button and we know it’s all good.
New Year, Same Jesus
I want to encourage you today that 2026 is nothing but a new year, but that Jesus is the same wonderful, graceful, merciful, powerful, saving God yesterday, today, and forever. Trust Him, the Constant, and know that if you have Jesus you have all you need.
The Mess In The Road
That’s the beauty of the Scripture above, that while we were sinners—messy and ignorant, incapable of fixing this on our own—Christ died for us, erasing the distance between us and the God who wants us to be close.
The Box Cutter
Without the word, though, we get stuck; we find ourselves bogged down and annoyed with life. But with the word, we are freed to serve God with joy and purpose. I encourage you today to take up God’s most gracious gift of His word and prosper. Watch and witness how God will draw you into all manner of things to accomplish for His kingdom.
Fire in the Sky
If we will self-limit, allowing only certain things into our lives, we can choose with much greater ease the things that matter. If God matters to you today—if you love Him and believe that you need Him “every hour” (as the hymn says), then limit the distractions, and fill your heart, mind, soul, and strength with God’s truth.
Shadows
Never underestimate shadows, as sometimes they are the grandeur of God looming over our struggles.
I See Jesus
When I see their faith, I see Jesus. When people look at you, do they see Jesus? Can they see Him giving Himself for you and for me in your life? Can they picture His wonder-working power in you? If not, there’s some surrendering to do—a crucifying of that which is not of God so that you can experience a resurrection and new life. If they can see God in you, be sure you maintain that look of the glory of God so that they, too, can have what you have!
The Narrow Way
Know today that it is an act of grace and favor to be told how to have real life—eternal life. Know even so that the way to life is narrow. You’ve been warned, and you’ve been told, now travel that way and see that it leads to His glory.
Old Things
In order for there to be room for new growth, for the goodness that is to come, that which is no longer good must die away. There is a loss that always leads to a gain when God is involved. God does that in our lives in different ways. He makes room for something amazing by getting rid of something that has lost the amazement we once put on it. What we thought was great needs to go, so that what God has deemed truly great can come.
