On Thursday, June 11, 2026 Asbury Chapel closed a chapter: we completed the sale of our Main Street location. When we started this church we knew that people were hungry for Christ and thirsty for His word, but the movement from our gathering at Memorial Park North to the Main Street campus in one year overwhelmed our hearts. That campus became our first real home. We welcomed new members, saw people come to faith, and experienced Ezekiel 37 first-hand: dry bones coming to life. It has been an incredible 2 years at Main Street.
Well, our hearts are overwhelmed, again. On Friday June 12, 2026 we closed on the purchase of what will now become Asbury’s next chapter, the 1963 Jesse Jewell Parkway campus. We will build out over the next several months, making room for more who hunger and thirst for Christ and His word. We will have space for youth and children, for studies and groups, and a large sanctuary to accommodate people who want to know Christ and be serious about the word of God. We will watch God free those captive to sin, raise up those who are spiritually dead, and send living souls into the world to proclaim the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
We are so grateful to Jimmy Adams, the Main Street purchaser, for helping us achieve the next chapter God is writing for Asbury. And we are thankful to Mark Beverly, the Ace Hardware seller, for his desire to see a church go into his original space.


Remember, we will still worship on Sundays at the 758 Main Street campus for the foreseeable future, and we are grateful to Mason Funeral Home for the accommodation. We hope you will join us on this journey. There will be more updates as things progress. But for now, let’s review our vision and mission so that we stay focused in this “wilderness” time.
