My challenge to you today is to “please stay on trail” when it comes to your faith. May the grace of God bend our minds and thoughts toward Him so that we may have life in Jesus Christ. May we REJECT thoughts on destructive things and ways of living that lead to death, and choose instead what God has clearly laid out in His word. That is how we stay on the trail.
Sometimes God shows you things, important things. I could say a million things, but all I can say that really matters is that I’ll never forget their eyes. I always tell people one of the best and most meaningful reasons to travel the world is to see Jesus in the eyes of other people.
Like a duck with his tail in the air, plunge the bill of your faith in Jesus deep into the water and feed on the goodness that God gives to those who trust in Him.
I would encourage you today to focus on getting up underneath the problems of others, to bear one another’s burdens, and watch God be glorified through such work. We’ll fulfill the law of Christ as His children if we will carry it all together. It’s part of why the Church exists.
Jesus came to lift others up so that they would see and know God. In the midst of genuine ministry people’s hearts are oriented in such away that grace breaks through darkness. God shows up to the funeral called “life” and signs His name. Then, when we see the name of love and grace, our hearts are warmed amidst the chill of trial.
When things get tough and all seems dark, hold it up to the light. Watch the light of God stream through the black of your night. Your problems and troubles are not solid stones, but rather smokey glass that just need a little light behind them. The light is there, just hold it up.
