Whit’s End
In Your Presence
I want to encourage you today to listen to the witness of those who have seen the light up close and personal, and position yourself better to know God, not just know about Him. If transformation is what you want, then get in the boat and witness His glory!
Unnecessary
Because Jesus has made Himself available to us, manifesting His presence which means we have access to His power and grace, then why not push to the side all that is unnecessary and focus on the great exchange between you and your Savior?
On Display
I’m not telling you to be showy with your faith, but I am telling you to show your faith. Let the world see your love for God. Like the plant that’s visible to many so that many may enjoy and appreciate it, let God be on display to as many as possible, and pray that they may see His beauty because you were willing to make Him known. Put God on display for all!
Hard Pressed
We as Christians really are a tiny seed planted in a hard world, pushing through the weight in order to grow and produce. Are we fragile? YES! But do we as believers have the life of Jesus in us? YES! Therefore we may be hard pressed, but in Christ we push through, because it is the power of God in these fragile jars of clay that is doing Heaven’s work!
The Best
I AM telling you to dwell on the best of what God has in store. Read His word, sing His praises, serve His people, tell of His mighty deeds and let others know why you have the hope you have (see 1 Peter 3.15). Talk about the best; about God’s best for you, for others, for the sinner and the saint.
STUCK
My encouragement today is to truly get right with God by putting your whole trust in His grace. That grace will lift you up, should you fall and get stuck in a mixture of sin and evil desires. Don’t let the world hold you down and “cement” your soul. Embrace the Lord who invites you NOW and let Him deliver you.
Marks
May we have the marks of discipleship today, and may others spot us and know exactly who and whose we are through our obedience!
Almost There
So you see, you’re almost there, Christian…when you see that your struggle is redemptive. Suffering is an invitation to welcome God into your moment, your affliction, your situation. Glory in your suffering, you’re almost there.
Together
When you come to church the next time, don’t rush off. Breathe a little; take it in. Listen to the conversations around you or gaze at the cross and contemplate God’s amazing love for you. Meeting together is about so much more than just your brothers and sisters in Christ. It’s about Christ Himself.
