Preparations For Sunday Services

10AM

Here are just a few things we want you to know:

  • The address for the service: 758 Main Street, Gainesville, GA 30501
  • We use hymnals and inserts for worship and singing.
  • Bring your Bible if you have one. If you do not own a Bible it would be our honor to select one with you at your convenience. At Asbury Chapel we have a high view of Scripture and will encourage you to seek God properly through His Holy Word.
  • On the first Sunday of every month we celebrate Holy Communion. As Methodist Christians we believe Holy Communion is a “converting grace”, meaning that God’s soul-saving, life-transforming grace is actually present and communicated intelligently through the celebration of the meal for any and all who earnestly repent of their sin and want to partake of the bread and juice. We celebrate Holy Communion by “intinction”. This means that the bread will be handed to you and you will dip the bread into the chalice of juice, then return to your seat for prayer and reflection. The words to the celebration are found in the hymnal at the page designated in your Order of Service.

Small Groups

John Wesley, evangelist and co-founder of the Methodist movement, called Christians to ‘holiness of heart and life’. At Asbury Chapel, we aim to facilitate each Christians growth in the grace of Jesus Christ through “Heart and Life” groups. These small groups focus on experiencing the Holy Spirit in community with one another so that we may know God within our hearts and live for Him with our lives.

If you would like more information about any open spots in a group or would like to start your own Heart and Life group, please contact us at office@asburychapel.net

Women’s Heart & Life Group:

Small group study for women meets on Tuesdays at 10:00am. Led by Sharon Bozman, 3005 Basin Rd, Gainesville.

By, Methodists I mean a people who profess to pursue (in whatsoever measure they have attained holiness) of heart and life, inward and outward conformity in all things to the revealed will of God.
— John Wesley
